African Secrets Limited driver/ guide will pick you from your hotel (Speke Resort and Conference Centre) at 0700hrs to begin the panoramic drive North West via Luwero triangle and Masindi Town to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for a picnic lunch at the spectacularly situated site at the top of the falls. From here you will continue on, taking a ferry across the river to Paraa Safari Lodge. Game viewing on the way makes your journey exciting as you look out for hippos, elephant, buffaloes and many other animals. Set off early for a morning game drive to witness the animal kingdom at its most active hour. Enjoy a morning game drive on the northern bank where you may see elephant, lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hartebeests and many more. After your game trip, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch before taking an afternoon boat trip to the foot of Murchison Falls. This boat trip along the Nile is often cited as being the highlight of a trip to Murchison since it allows you to get up-close and personal with the animals. The bird life is stunning with brightly colored kingfishers and bee-eaters darting along the riverbanks. If lucky, you may see the rare and prehistoric looking shoebill. The boat takes you to the base of the falls which only adds to their impressiveness. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, enjoy a launch cruise to the Delta area. A boat trip to the Delta where the Victoria Nile engorges into the Lake Albert leads through papyrus swamps. Bird species here include the rare shoe billed; saddle Billed & Abdim's Stork. Also look out for Pied Kingfisher, Malachite Kingfisher and the African skimmer. After the delta launch cruise, proceed for a game drive to savor the beauty of the park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
After breakfast, you will go for a morning Chimpanzee tracking in Kaniyo Pabidi Forest. This is an undisturbed area of natural forest within Budongo Forest Reserve where you can walk beneath mature mahogany and iron wood trees. Chimpanzee tracking is the most famous activity. You may see many forest birds, including the chocolates-backed Kingfisher, the white-thigh hornbill and puvel's illadopsis found nowhere else in East Africa. After your chimp tracking, you will depart to Kampala arriving in the evening.
