This park is found at the far end of South Sudan at its border neighboring Uganda with the spectacular White Nile on the eastern part while River Assua on the North. The hilly terrain of the park is well covered by savanna woodland characterized by acacia trees, combretum aculeatum plus other species.
The park has rich biodiversity of both wildlife and birdlife on both the borders and edges like on the edge of the frontier with Uganda, Large population of Nile Buffalo, Uganda Kob, Elephant, Hippo, Crocodiles and great Bird Life. West border of the park is the Nile River Located in the new country of Southern Sudan. Visits to this park are too interesting and enjoy full since it can be combined with visits to other parks in Southern Sudan Boma, Kidepo or Murchison Falls National Park in Uganda.
If you an individual traveller, the option involves taking a bus to the Ugandan boarder post, walking to the South Sudanese town of Nimule and arranging transport from there.
Alternatively one can also travel up the Nile from Uganda by boat and this is always organised by locals
