This Uganda primate safari will take you to Kibale Forest national park a prime area for the Chimpanzee and other wildlife. You will also track other primates hosted in the dense Kibale Forest.
After an early breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest national park. Kibale forest also boasts of hosting a diversity and density of primates in Africa of up to 13 species. These include the endangered Red Colobus Monkey, Velvet Monkey, Blue monkey, L’Hoestes monkey, Grey Cheeked, and the Black / White Colobus monkeys. Dinner and over night at Nature Lodges or Chimpanzee Guesthouse.
After an early morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing prior to chimpanzee tracking. Thereafter you head out for the chimp tracking expedition. You have a 90% chance of viewing the endangered chimps. While on the chimpanzee trek, you also have chance for other primates. After lunch, you will visit the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided board walk. Here you have chances to see many interesting bird species, and also a variety of flora. There is also a variety of beautiful butterflies and other insects. There is also choice for visiting tea plantations as they are numerous in this region. Dinner and overnight at Nature Lodges or Chimpanzee Guesthouse.
After breakfast, have another nature walk and then transfer back to Kampala having lunch en route. This day marks the end of the Uganda Primates Tour.
