UGANDA: Ssese island birding safari
Have breakfast to drive along Masaka road to the Kabassese landing site. Have a lunch stop in Masaka and the proceed to board a ferry to be transferred to one of Ssese Island Bugala Island. You will reach in the evening to check in- in your Hotel and then be welcomed with cultural dances and a dinner. Overnight at Pearl gardens / Mirembe resort.
Go for a nature walk on the island looking for birds. The island is blessed with both forest and water birds. In the morning you will go for the nature walk and in the afternoon you will go for a canoe ride on the shores of the island in search for water birds. Look out for birds like plenty of weavers, hornbills, Turaco, flycatchers, Jewel-like pygmy kingfisher, barbets, African fish eagles, Vultures, brown throated wattle eye and many more. Overnight at Pearl gardens / Mirembe resort.
Have breakfast to go for another early morning nature walk searching for birds and then in the afternoon you will transfer back to Kampala. Overnight at Hotel Africana/ Sheraton Hotel.
