2 Days Birding in Mabamba Wetland.

Day 1: Drive To Mabamba Wetland

Very early in the morning you will meet our company representative who will transfer you to Mabamba wetland. You will reach the village of Mabamba from which the wetlands was derived in the early morning to go for a dugout canoe ride in the swamps, searching for waterbirds. Here you may sight the rare Shoebill, Grey-headed Gull, White Winged Terns, Madagascar Bee-eater, Yellow Billed Egret, Long toed Plover and many more. Later on you will go for walks along the tracks to the main road searching for more birds. Other birds to expect include Black Crake, African Fish Eagle, African Jacana, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers, Cape Wagtail, Swamp Flightier, Winding Cisticola, Blue- Breasted Bee- eater, Red Chested Sunbird and many more. Dinner and overnight at Imperial Beach Hotel/The Boma/Sophie’s Motel.

Day 2: Bird Watching Safaris At Mabamba Bird Sanctuary

This day go back to the wetland and walk along those tracks to search for birds you didn’t see the previous day. Dinner and overnight in Imperial Beach Hotel/The Boma/Sophie’s Motel.
