You will be met at your respective area of accommodation for the safari briefing and then drive to Lake Mburo National Park with a stop over at the Equator for en-route photographs and Mpambire to watch drums being made using old methods passed down through generations. Upon arrival leave for an afternoon baot ride on Lake Mburo. The lake is rich with a diversity of animal and plant species which are only clearly viewed while on a boat-crocodiles, hippopotami and birds like pelicans, black crake, Heron. The boat takes 2 hours maximum. Before retiring for dinner and overnight at Mantana Tented camps/ Rwonyo Rest Camp enjoy the parks wildlife during the evening game drive.
Before breakfast leave for a morning game drives along the lakeside track, which will enable you see water plants and animals. The Kigambira loop will offer an opportunity of going through the wooded wilderness with scattered thicket-while here look out for bushbucks and bush duikers, this is the only park with Zebras. You will then transfer to Bwindi national park arriving late evening I the time for dinner and over night at Gorilla Safari Lodge; Ruhijja Safari Lodge or Buhoma Homestead /Buhoma Lodge (luxury option) or Buhoma Community Rest Camp; WagTail Eco Safari Camp (Budget option).
Following an early breakfast, report to the ranger station for registration and briefing by one of the ranger guides. Enter the gorilla sanctuary for tracking, pushing your way through the undergrowth and parting thick creepers. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movement of these great giants. If you have the afternoon free, you may decide to take a guided walk on the Munyanga River trail, which is an ideal short walk or take a guided village walk to see how Ugandan live. After breakfast depart northwards for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment. Carry out a game drive in Ishasha sector in search of tree climbing lions before proceeding to the Mweya Peninsular park headquarters. Arrive in the evening and check in at your lodge. The park boasts of a variety of big game like; lions, buffaloes, kobs, elephants, bushbucks, and the rare occasional leopard. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Institute of Ecology.
After breakfast set for off to go and search for the fast moving primates at Kyambura gorge. The Kyambura gorge is famous for a primate walk where you will see chimps and other primate’s like Columbus & velvet monkeys and baboons. After the chimp walk drive to Kampala with a lunch en-route arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight at Serena hotel (Luxury options), Sheraton hotel.Grand imperial (mid-range option), Holiday express hotel, central inn (Budget option)
Past break fast tat your lodge/hotel, drive to Entebbe international airport in time for flight departure to Nairobi. Dinner and overnight at Nairobi.
Depart Nairobi in the Morning to Samburu at the North rugged Semi desert region; through harsh contains some of the species rarely found elsewhere e.g. reticulated giraffes, grevy's zebra, kuchi, Beisa oryx's, Somali Ostrich, gerenuk, vulturine, guinea fowl among others. Arrive in time for lunch with an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at a lodge.
Spend a full day in Samburu with early morning and afternoon game drives in Samburu Game Reserve, which covers 40 square miles (104 square kilometers). Ololokwe Table Mountain forms a dramatic backdrop to our game viewing. Samburu is also home to the third of Kenya's giraffe species - the rare Reticulated Giraffe (only found in the Northern parks). This is also where you see the blue-legged Somali Ostrich, the long-necked Gerenuk gazelle and the straight-horned Beisa Oryx antelope. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu lodge or similar.
After breakfast, have a morning game drive or connect to Nairobi and if you have ample time before your scheduled departure time, take a chance to enjoy visits to Nairobi's city centre attractions. This might include lunch at the Carnivore Restaurant followed by a visit to Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Centre. (However, these are extra activities and they're fore not included on the costed package so you've got to pay for them.)
